Vacancy Details

To provide service excellence daily by being the face of the Company and first point of contact with external parties, albeit clients or suppliers. To welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries to the responsible person. Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department whereabouts and venue availability. Responsible for the appearance and venue readiness of each meeting room throughout each day and to ensure that the movements of all employees within the premises are accurately monitored and recorded. Assists with other ad hoc administrative functions for all departments as and when needed in alignment with a supporting function to all Management & Staff.

General Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Reception duty (receiving clients, making appointments, liaison with staff)
  • Switchboard duties (external calls, internal calls, call screening, taking messages etc.)
  • Admin duties (daily general communication to staff)
  • Preparation of client gifts
  • Postal and Courier activities
  • Accountable for condition and availabilty of boardrooms, ensuring cleanliness and preparedness to receive guests
  • Responsible for keys within her possession
  • Administrative support for various departments as and when needed
  • All other general ad hoc duties which may be assigned where needed
  • Required Skills
  • afrikaans : 10 years or more
  • reception areas : 3 to 4 years
  • telephonic ettiquette : 3 to 4 years
  • Candidate Requirements
  • Matric Certificate
  • Excellent command of the Afirkaans language
  • Tertiary Qualification advantageous
  • Drivers License (code 8) essential
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience in a receptionist role
  • Immaculately dressed, well-groomed and corporate look
  • Computer Literacy is a must, Microsoft Outlook use daily
  • MS Excel skills required
  • Ability to work under pressure in a calm and collected manner
  • Effective communication skills, both in Afrikaans and English
  • Accuracy and attentive to detail
  • Consistently pleasant demeanour – welcoming, approachable, warm
  • Positive outlook and attitude
  • Excellent work ethic essential
  • Ability to be available after hours and on weekends where required
  • Professional and emotionally intelligent
  • Punctual and dedicated to the organization (zero absences)
  • Honest and transparent, a person of integrity
