Vacancy Details

Our client in the Aviation industry requires the services of a Financial Manager with experience working with an international company.

Key performance areas:

  • Supporting Senior Manager to maintain the financial oversight for the business.
  • Providing expertise to ensure robust financial control and planning for the business unit.
  • Complete month end process according to group reporting deadlines.
  • Maintain general ledgers.
  • Preparation of accurate weekly profit ‘flashes’, annual budgets and monthly rolling forecasts.
  • Monitoring and analysis of the financial performance and KPIs of the business and key commercial contracts.
  • Monitoring and ensuring accuracy of daily business controls (e.g. on time performance, staffing levels and productivity measures).
  • Providing analysis and maintaining models to assess commercial contract by contract profitability.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with the company’s internal control procedures.
  • Build relationships with the Senior Managers and operational leads, implementing regular structured meetings.
  • Preparation of investment and capex business cases.
  • Provide financial support to all levels of the business.
  • Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate must have:

  • Matric with a Degree or Honours in Accounting.
  • Completed Articles will be advantageous.
  • A qualification as a CA, CIMA or SAIPA will be advantageous.
  • Demonstrable Accounting experience.
  • Extensive experience with tax
  • Must have work experience with an international company
  • Ability to influence, challenge and implement change.
  • Hands-on practical approach to providing guidance and direction in a challenging and dynamic business environment.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined and with exceptional time management skills and ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple workloads.
  • Experience of people management and development.
  • High Level of Integrity.
  • Attention to detail and strong work ethics.
