Hollywoodbets has an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Marketing Coordinator (Retail) to be based at Team Support in Umhlanga, Durban. The position will be responsible for creating and delivering marketing ideas and activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating marketing activities, managing projects and ensuring company messages are consistent.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • 2 – 3 years Administrative Management.
  • 2 – 3 years Operations Administration or Support.
  • 2 – 3 years Marketing experience.

Advantageous:

  • A Diploma or Degree in Business Management or in a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement marketing and advertising campaigns by assembling and analysing strategy objectives and sales forecasts; preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; planning and organising promotional presentations; updating calendars.
  • Prepare marketing reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising reports.
  • Keep promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphics department; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
  • Support regional marketing teams with major campaigns.
  • Research competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.
  • Conduct regular competitor analysis and stay up to date on industry and product trends.
  • Monitor budgets by comparing and analysing actual results with plans and forecasts and establish benchmarks that ensure budget goals are met.
  • Create, deliver, edit, and optimise marketing materials.
  • Ensure that messages are supportive of and consistent with marketing strategies.
  • Provide support to marketing department.
  • Coordinate flow of information and communication and disseminate it according to plan/strategy.
  • Create thought leadership materials.
  • Research media coverage and industry trends.
  • Develop fresh story ideas.
  • Conduct extensive media outreach.
  • Improve communication efficiencies within company.
  • Coordinate special projects with senior management (E.g. Branch revamps, new branch openings, product launches).
  • Coordinate and oversee advertising in print and online for retail business.
  • Identify branding and partnership opportunities as well as new business opportunities from a retail perspective (taxi ranks, billboards, radio, newspaper etc.)
  • Manage formal and informal partnership with retail suppliers, customers and other companies
  • Train new team members and ensure that all employees are up-to-date on current marketing standards and procedures.
  • Advise on improving promotions and personalising for regions/branches/products/markets.
  • Delegation of tasks and deadlines and effective management of a team.
  • Able and willing to travel when necessary.
