Vacancy Details

Driving turnover and maximising sales and profit.

Meeting and exceeding sales targets for branch.

Implement and drive sales and marketing initiatives to expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence together with sales team.

Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status

Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.

Ensure customer satisfaction.

Resolve all customer complaints and queries timeously.

Management of sales team, training, coaching, development and motivation.

Set targets for sales team and monitoring of performance and progress.

Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers while seeking new ones.

Finding the right suppliers for the right products.

Negotiating contracts, improved prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.

  • Researching target markets, market trends and monitor competitors.
  • Negotiating prices with suppliers.
  • Budgeting and predicting future sales.
  • Ensuring the products are delivered/collected on time.
  • Stock/Inventory control and management, stock level monitoring & stock replenishments.
  • Be involved in promotional, planning and advertising campaigns.
  • Assist with PO information/allocation is captured correctly on ordering system.
  • Managing back-order list.
  • Managing outstanding purchase order list.
  • Handle queries & requests from Customer to ensure correct stock is ordered & received within correct lead times.
  • Coordinate with and report to Managing Director.
  • Candidate Requirements
  • Grade 12.
  • Minimum 3-years’ experience in a sales management role within the retail environment, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.

Industrial supplies experience would be beneficial.

Strong leadership, coaching people management skills.

Good time management.

  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively with people at all levels.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
