Introduction:

Our beautiful Game Lodge just outside Bela-Bela is hiring!

We are looking for a suitable Hotel Receptionist, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, to provide an efficient Front Office service to all our guests.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The duties of the suitable candidate will include, but not be limited to:
  • Providing an efficient and professional Front Office service to guests while adhering to the company’s policies and procedures and using the company’s internal booking system known as Protel;
  • Ensuring that the Hotel Reception area is clean, neat and tidy and that brochures, rate sheets and maps are neatly on display;
  • Checking-in and checking-out of all guests must run smoothly and be conducted in a efficient and professional manner at all times;
  • Ensuring that all guests are received and accommodated in an efficient, friendly and courteous manner, as well as attending to all guest queries and/or complaints in a satisfactory manner;
  • Must be able to run a night audit;
  • Ensuring that all guest accounts are correct and ready upon guest departure;
  • Carrying out all internal control procedures;
  • Ensuring that all enquiries and requests for quotations are dealt with immediately and in accordance with company policy and procedure;
  • Ensuring that he / she is at all times well acquainted with all of the hotel’s tariffs and special offers, as well as with all facilities available to the guests of the hotel;
  • Ensuring that all guest profiles are entered correctly onto the system and that they are routed to the correct company;
  • Paying special attention to special notes, guest preferences, etc;
  • Ensure that all incoming telephone calls are dealt with in an efficient and courteous manner.

Desired Experience and Qualification:

  • Must have at least 2 (two) years’ experience as a Receptionist at a Hotel;
  • Must be Computer Literate
  • Good working knowledge of Hotel Management systems a MUST
  • Protel experience advantageous
  • Reservations experience advantageous
  • Previous experience in running Night Audit advantageous
